She works out 3 to 4 times a week, sometimes going full five days a week for an hour each day with her fitness instructor who helps her with a full-body workout. Additionally, Sharon loves walking on the beach which she states contributes to her overall welfare.
As far as her diet goes, Sharon Stone keeps a moderate diet regime, eating what she wants but making sure not to overeat. Her diet consists of lots of fish, lean meat, 4 to 5 eggs a week, less or sugar-free soft drinks and lacteals everyday among other things. She does love grilled food and feasts on grilled chicken, lamb, salmon and lean steaks with steamed vegetables for accompaniment. She is a tea fanatic and loves drinking herbal tea while she’ll have a glass of wine at dinner time. Her only indulgence is dark chocolate which she carries in her purse.
She gets creative with her workout routines at the gym — and in the bathtub.
“Every time I exercise, I do something different based on which areas need to get in motion,” she told Shape. The actress drops by 24-Hour Fitness four or five times a week, where she combines different workouts including pilates, total-body stretches, strength training, yoga, and dance.
If she can’t make it to the gym, she gets creative at home by doing leg lifts in the bathtub with water resistance. Genius!
She avoids alcohol, caffeine, and gluten.
It sounds pretty strict, but Stone says cutting out alcohol made a huge difference.
“I drank so little to begin with. But seven years ago, I was training and I wanted to get really cut up. I looked at Madonna — we’re the same age — and I asked my trainer, ‘What am I not doing? Find out what she’s doing!’ She came back and said, ‘I don’t think she drinks any alcohol.’ So I decided to try zero for three months. And I saw a huge difference!”
She also avoids foods with gluten, and mostly sticks to non-caffeinated teas instead of coffee.
She cooks healthy foods at home.
Stone says her diet has changed significantly since growing up in 1970s Pennsylvania, where most meals included lots of mashed potatoes and gravy. These days, she eats lots of low-glycemic foods like quinoa, lentils, and vegetables.
“I don’t eat a lot of processed food, though I haven’t been able to get potato chips out of my mind!” she said to WebMD.
She gets her fitness inspiration from Arnold Schwarzenegger, of all people.
Stone has always been athletic, but she says she really had to get into shape to play Arnold Schwarzenegger’s wife in the 1990 film Total Recall.
“I had to lift really heavy weights and do karate for hours every day,” she said. Hanging out with Schwarzenegger convinced her that a good fitness routine can change everything.
